Lindsay Hutchens is an award winning rock photographer, whose perspective and style spans a multitude of subject matter and medium. Her clients have included Vans, Volcom Entertainment, LA Weekly and her photos have been published in Rolling Stone, Spin, and Alternative Press. She has photographed bands/artists including Flogging Molly, Coheed & Cambria, Ryan Adams, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Fiona Apple and Jet. She has spent 2 months on the road photographing a cross-country tour and traveled internationally to document the recording of an album. Lindsay's photos of the annual Punk Rock Bowling Tournament and BYO founders the Stern brothers were published in the book Let Them Know, chronicling BYO records and the second wave of DIY punk on the west coast in the early 1980's. Her album cover for Flogging Molly's Float was released world-wide and helped promote the band's most successful release to date with a debut at #4 on the Billboard music charts.
Lindsay also Associate Produced the documentary Kids + Money which looks at the culture of consumerism among America's teens. The film premiered at the AFI Film Festival in 2008, winning the Shorts Audience Award, screened at Sundance, Hot Docs, London, Cannes Short Film Corner, the Ann Arbor Film Festival, where it won Best Documentary, and the Hugo Television Awards where it won the Social/Political Documentary Gold Plaque. The film was first broadcast on HBO in 2008. She has helped produce still photo and multimedia projects for GQ Magazine, New York Times Magazine, Marie Claire and Elle with subject matter ranging from foreclosures in southern California, to the Bunny Ranch in Carson City, Nevada.
With a Visual Journalism degree from Brooks Institute of Photography, Lindsay works as a freelance photographer in Los Angeles accepting editorial, commercial and documentary assignments alike. She is currently shooting a long term project exploring love, sex, relationships and family life of the touring musician.
